Eileen Bailey

Create new plants each week, working with a variety of beginning sounds. You can challenge students by making plants with ending sounds, middle sounds or letters with blanks in the middle, such c__d. In this example, students must find letters to fill in the middle of the word, such as /o/, /or/ and /ar/.
