SIP - State Improvement Plan

Definition: The SIP has been with the SPP (State Performance Plan.) It was a statewide plan to improve educational performance of students with disabilities by focusing on partnerships, supports for learning, and quality staff. See Section 653 of the IDEA. The SPP replaced the SIP in 2005-2006. School improvement planning corresponds to the state improvement plan.
Also Known As: SPP - State Performance Plan, State Accountability
Examples:
The SPP is a set of goals/objectives to support school improvement planning and achievement for all students.
