The DSM is published by the American Psychiatric Association. The manual is typically considered the bible for any professional who makes psychiatric diagnoses not only in the United States but many other countries as well. Most diagnoses for behavior and emotional disorders are made by a professional using the DSM. Disorders diagnosed using the DSM include: Adjustment, Anxiety, Dissociative, Eating, Impulse-Control, Mood, Sexual, Sleep, Psychotic, Somatoform, Substance and Personality Disorders.
