ADD - Attention Deficit Disorder

Definition: ADD is a biologically based condition causing those inflicted with the disorder to have difficulty in one or more of the the following areas: sustaining attention, many careless errors, hyperactivity, impulsivity, inability to focus and remain on task, often appears not to be listening, difficulty with organization and completion of tasks, loses or misplaces things, easily distracted, seems forgetful. However, when making a diagnosis, practicioners will often look for at least 6 symptoms. Note, all children from time to time can suffer from the above symptoms, however, and ADD child suffers from these symptoms on a regular basis.
