Determining the Reading Levels/GradesDetermining Reading Readiness Determining when a child is ready is based on a number of reading readiness skills. For instance: does the child pretend to read? Do the child re-tell familiar stories. Do they have some understanding of concepts of print? Don't miss the cues because the next step is actually reading. Reading Readiness Scale: 3-5 Year Olds
