Positive Behavior Management for Today's Classroom. Assertive Discipline is a direct and positive approach to make it possible for the teacher to teach and the students to learn. It is based on 9 key principles. You can't go wrong with Cantor's method which are taken from very successful teachers.
This is one of the best books I've read for both parents and teachers. You'll find lots of concrete, easy to implement strategies that really work! You'll see in a very short time how these strategies move rebellious behavior into acceptable behavior. A must have!
This is another one of my favorites. It's practical and gives you hundreds of tested techniques and guidelines for maintaining control and order in the classroom. You'll find techniques and guidelines for dealing with 50 types of discipline problems and you'll learn how to keep students on task. Many of the teachers I talked to found this resource to be one of their 'keepers'!
I find this book to be aimed at students with ADD or ADHD. Although the practical tried and true strategies will work with all students with behavioral issues. A good read with great advice.
