Inclusive Schools Week

December 1-5, 2008 marks the 8th annual Inclusive Schools Week. The theme for 2008 is: "Together We Learn Better". In celebration of Inclusive Schools Week, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) is sponsoring a contest to celebrate and showcase highly effective inclusive models called Best Ideas for Inclusive Schools. Be sure to get your application in by November 26. And, check out how you can celebrate with this all 'inclusive' list.

I am a student pursuing my bachelor’s degree in K-6 with an emphasis on Special Ed. The keys to success are important when trying to achieve a successful inclusive classroom. I agree with the statement- Think big,but start small. Tina
