Let Them Write Their Own Report Card

Monday November 10, 2008
Right around report card time, I see a lot of teachers getting their students to predict what their marks will be. What a great non-fiction writing idea! After all, when you think about it, it requires students to: infer, reason, make judgements, predict and analyze. Thinking skills! Here is a blank report card to let them write their own. It's also fun to have them write their comments too, what will help to improve their marks for next term.

What a great idea! I can only imagine what my special kids would come up with for grades. Their reasoning alone would be worth trying the assignment in class. Thanks
