Parents often ask if they should be concerned about letter reversals or word reversals. For instance: bog for dog or ta for at. As a parent with a child that is dyslexic I am disappointed in this article because of the overwhelming statics of children that go undiagnosed because of being told that the child will out grow these types of signs.I wish this article would have listed several of the other signs that are common. I believe many parents after reading this article will now just disregard this sign and others and their child will fall into the statics that can be found at this web-site and others. I am very disappointed because statics show that 74% of children that are dyslexic that go on the 3rd grade and later without being diagnosed will remain a poor reader their entire life. That static should be overwhelming to a parent. Children are being overlooked and by the time the child is diagnosed they are overwhelmed and discourage. The statics show that many of these children never receive the proper training that they need simply because they are overlooked. just becuase you can learn how to speak like everyone around you who didi it before,., you doesn mena the same thing as it being the real way to use your voice box,., so i would like help knowing why you feel a feeling about they way you think they seem to you,., if a real person is looking at you,., you are thinking something that would be shown to them if it where an item,., when you cant control any part of your daily life,.why would that be seen as not a handi capp,.,
