Common question asked of teachers by other teachers, parents, administrators and so on. So what if the response is 69 years? Hazel Haley, at 89 is the longest-serving public-school teacher in Florida -- and, as far as anyone knows, in the country -- is retiring after 69 years, 54 of those years in the same classroom.
