The Latest 'BUZZ'

Saturday May 13, 2006
There are lots of buzz words in education, inclusion, project based learning, evidence informed decision making (EIDM), and differentiated learning just to name a few. Lately, 'Differentiated Instruction' or 'Differentiated Assessment' seem to be one of the current trends. What does it mean? Ask any educator, you'll find they'll all use a different definition but for the most part, avoiding a one size fits all approach is your first step toward differentiated instruction.

In his new book , Fair Isn't Always Equal, Rick Wormeli takes a look at the principles of differentiated assessment and grading, and provides you with advice on differentiated assessments. Better yet, the entire book is Free Online! Try before you buy is an excellent way to determine if you want to invest in this excellent read.
